How to prepare For a Boudoir Photography Session
The Day of your romantic glamour session is ultimately here
Ok, you’ve booked your glamour session and all seems to be all set for this leading day.
Now what?
After taking this first step your goal should be to make this intimate photo session the best it can be.
A glamour photographer can do much to help your look but these are must-dos in order for you to help the photographer.
#1 – When is your boudoir session?
If your photo session is in the morning, be sure and eat a good breakfast.
If you are having an afternoon session, eat a light lunch. It takes a lot of power to do romantic portraits and you don’t want to run out of steam before the session is over.
#2 – Don’t let time stress you out – It will show in your photographs
Try to leave home early enough to be at the boudoir session on time, or better still, a small early.
When you are in a hurry, stress sets in. Although we don’t rush you into a session (some photographers do) the anxiety that you feel because of being rushed to get to your photo session will make it difficult to put yourself into the relaxed, romantic mood needed to have a thriving boudoir photo session.
#3 – Don’t try to go it alone
Bring a friend with you to the photo studio. If a romantic photographer refuses this request, check a small closer before using him or her. This is a protection precaution that every woman should follow.
We have no qoute with a friend or family member coming with you. All we ask is that they not be in the studio section during the session. Boudoir photography is not a spectator sport. D:-)
#4 – Wear clothing that is favorable to your romantic photo session
Come to your intimate photography session wearing clothing that fits loosely to insure the least amounts of marks on your body.
These marks take time to go away and may waste your small amount of time allocated for the portrait session. (professional glamour models know this inexpressive and are ready to go without a waiting period)
#5 – The hair! – The hair!
Instead of a pullover, wear a button up shirt so that you won’t disturb the makeup and hair when you begin to turn for your boudoir session.
#6 – The Clothes! – The Clothes!
Wear a clear deoderant instead of the white, powdery kind so that your clothese will stay the color they should be.
#7 – But perfume is sooooo romantic
If you wear perfume to the photo shoot (not recommended), make sure it’s very light.
Boudoir photographers sometimes work in small studios and strong perfume will overwhelm your photographer and the others who have to work with you.
#8 – Do I need to wear makeup?
Many boudoir photo sessions will comprise a makeup and/or hair artist. If this is the case come to your session without any makeup or concealer and make sure your hair is good and clean.
If your boudoir photographer wants you to do your own makeup for the session, go here for glamour makeup tips to help you apply makeup for the camera and lights.
#9 – Have Fun!
Going to a expert female photographer for an intimate photo session does not mean that you can’t have fun.
Following the steps above will help insure that you will have fun during your boudoir session by getting off to a good start.
Romantic glamour photography is a collaboration in the middle of the model and the photographer and the more you prepare for your boudoir portrait session the more you will enjoy your day of romance.

Digital Photography – Photographing the Moon With a Dslr Digital Camera
The Dslr, Digital singular Lens Reflex Camera is a super advancement on cameras of old and not even that long ago. The photography World has moved on and in a very big way too. It all started with the digital compact and has moved on gracefully from there; even your movable phone camera is more than capable of producing some pretty spirited pictures these days.
But some of the more devotee subjects still wish a safe bet number of devotee knowledge and equipment if you are considered to create a very impressive picture…
Take the moon for instance, ordinarily you would think it fairly right forward to photograph, and in a way it pretty much is, but remember the planet is a quarter of a million miles away and only three and a half thousand kilometres in diameter so giving it some respect when wanting to get some great images is the only way to go.
Let us say that you have or are reasoning of getting a Dslr camera of some description, which are more than capable of taking some astonishing pictures of the moon, but with most Dslr cameras you will only get a proper lens, ordinarily these are very good all round lenses, but unfortunately will not supply very impressive results when photographing the moon or any other part of the Solar System, so an upgraded lens would be a must for good high capability images.
A 28-200mm will supply you with good capability close and mid range pictures, ideal for daily use and air-shows etc as well as some very nice distance shots that are not mega miles away. Ideally you would want a 70-300mm or even a 100-500mm where possible, but with a lens like this it is only really ideally mighty to the longer distance shots and not very good with anyone very close up.
Top Tip: The bigger the lens the harder it is to take still perfect pictures, so a tripod, monopod (monopod = tripod with one leg) or bean bag is a must. Using a tripod and taking the pictures on timer or even using a remote operate will yield perfect results.
But wait, before you rush out and buy masses of lenses there is a way around this. One of the ways of getting a advantage out of your proper lens that comes with your camera is to use a 2x converter; this does exactly what it says on the tin.
So for instance if the proper camera lens is only an 18-70mm it will increase the distance pictures to 140mm and is also pretty good for close ups too, even insects in some cases, so an ideal digital Dslr digital camera kit would consist of the camera of choice with proper lens, a 2x converter and a 28-200mm lens.
This kit would allow you to capture some awesome images of pretty much all things and anyone that you want to.
The 2x converters are a pretty good choice if allocation is an issue as lenses can in some cases work out quite expensive, but really a must at some point. One of the downsides with a converter in some cases is that you might have to lose the autofocus facility on your camera and focus manually, but this is a small sell out for very improved astonishing photos.
Finally, if it is a spirited moon you might want to try using a low Iso, something like 100 Iso should do up to 400 Iso, but for best results take a few on each Iso setting and check your results in your cameras Lcd display. You will soon be able to tell if it is too bright. Taking your first great photo of the moon craters an-all is a pretty awesome touch and not one to be taken lightly.
By now you should have a pretty good idea on photographing the moon with a digital singular lens reflex camera, which is an astonishing branch when you start getting it right.

If you have have been doing digital photography for a while and have come to the point where you need to upgrade your tool then getting a digital Slr camera is the next step.

The lens is foremost and whatever lens your camera comes with should be a good beginning point. Then from there you can get extra lenses for different things. There are a lot of lens options available you that you can add to your tool down the road.
Knowing what you want in a digital Slr camera and knowing your allocation will be two key factors in your purchase. I would do some study before you just go out and buy whatever looks best. Nikon, Canon and Olympus all have quality cameras that you can buy as packaged sets. They all have decent price points and will offer more options than most habitancy new to digital Slr photography will need or understand. Make sure you read your owners manual fully and test out every setting on your camera so that you know what settings fit unavoidable photo situations.
How the Digital Camera Has Changed Photography
In the early 1990s, digital cameras became commercially available to consumers. Since the introduction of the digital camera, the way photography is conducted has been radically changed. These changes were slow in development, but are now carefully part of everyday life. Some of the changes that have occurred are:
1. Camera film is no longer the prime means of recording pictures.
2. You no longer have to wait days to see your pictures. They are available immediately.
3. Since the pictures are available immediately, you can rule if your photo is the one you want or if you need to take another picture.
4. Pictures taken digitally, can be stored on your computer approximately indefinitely. If you want to safe your pictures, there are servers that will store them for you. Some of these servers are free, while some fee a small monthly fee.
5. You can arrange the pictures to present them as a slide show on your computer and email them to friends and relatives.
6. You can immediately send your pictures to friends and family via the Internet.
7. Most digital cameras today can even take video which you can store on your computer.
As you can see, to enjoy these benefits of the digital camera, you in fact need a computer with a Universal Serial bus (Usb) that you can join together to your camera to the computer.
So you can see, with the arrival of digital camera, there have been some major changes in the way we take and process our pictures.
Digital Photography – Basic Dslr Digital Camera Photography – picture Tips and Techniques
Having a legitimately nice Dslr (Digital particular Lens Reflex) camera is quite a nice feeling. The fact is that you can capture amazing images from wherever you are it is just a quiz, of knowing how and what to look for. This might at first not seem like such a great deal, but if your photographic efforts are being exiguous exposing the possibilities to what can legitimately be achieved is like opening a door and finding a whole new world.
By reading straight through this whole record you should at the very least gain some new ideas on how you can take definite pictures and how to yield great photography results, but hopefully you will discover the key to open that door that was previously mentioned.
I treat my digital camera like my best friend and take it legitimately anywhere I go, that includes even just a short journey. You never know what opening is going to arise in the form of a great photo and there is nothing worse than sitting there mental it would have made a great photo if I had my camera.
There should be no restrictions, it might even be dull and raining, but what a great opening to capture a photo of a rainbow or if legitimately lucky a bolt of lightning, it legitimately is a quiz, of finding opening everywhere.
A lot of population tend to start or get curious in photography by taking their digital camera on vacation, daily excursions, or using it as or for photographing their hobbies, but what about finding for the photo instead of taking random pictures of what comes your way.
Instead of ending up with some nice vacation pictures you will come back with a great holiday album that is jam packed with so many moving and moving pictures. If you see a tall construction that you are allowed to go to the top of then this is a great place to start. Things look so separate when up high.
Native flowers and plants are other great photo opening as these will more than likely not be seen growing wild in your home country, as well as the insects that visit them.
Animals running on the beach or shaking water off of themselves after getting out of the sea, it is a quiz, of knowing what is going to happen in some instances that goes into the development of a great shot.
Sunsets and sunrises go without saying, but try and think of something that would look good in the foreground, palm trees, boats, horse rider, etc.
It is an ideal place to practise panning techniques when on holiday as a lot of the birds near a coastline tend to ride the sea thermals giving a great opening to photo bids in flight, not only that but seagulls tend to be an easy bird to consequent with a lens while flying.
There are many, many more holiday ideas, but without going into massive information it would be difficult to cover and give ideas to cover every taste and type of location, but needless to say that you will find some great pictures no matter where you go on holiday.
That is all very well if you are abroad, but what about if your own country?
Ok, back home now and time to start using some of those hand-operated settings that are on each Dslr digital camera. The first basic setting is the Iso button, which in easy to understand terms works something like this.
If it is a moving day with plentifulness of sunlight you will get good results by setting your Iso to a low setting of nearby 100, but if it is a exiguous dull you will want to use in the middle of 200 and 400 and then so on up the scale depending on the light available, but be warned, the higher the Iso that you use the grainier the photo will appear.
It is a good idea to constantly check each photo as you take it if you are altering the Iso levels. You should be able to do this by viewing the photo in your Lcd screen at the rear of the camera. Zoom in on the photo you have just taken to the point of how you will display it. If it is not grainy then continue with that Iso setting.
When taking pictures of the moon you will probably be good off with a 70-300mm lens or a 2 times converter on your normal lens and an Iso setting in the middle of 100 and 400, this is because the moon is in fact a lot brighter than most population think.
Most new cameras come with an gap ,break priority setting or F-number, which is regularly indicated by the letter A on a thumb dial on top of the camera along with other discrete priority and field style settings.
You should also be able to change or alter the F-number manually. The smaller the F-number then the foreground and background of the field will be blurred, while the higher the F-number means that you should also have the background and foreground in focus.
You cannot check this outcome in the viewfinder, but by taking the photo and viewing in the Lcd screen you should be able to see which way that you need to adjust to make the photo better. It is worth practising this as it will help when out and about using hand-operated settings.
There should be many other settings that you can use and experiment with on your Dslr digital camera, but the ones covered here tend to be the most important.
It is well worth your time in familiarizing yourself with these as it will also start to give you a much good insight about taking good photographs and how to use your camera.
By now you should have a good insight of basic digital camera photography and using a digital particular lens reflex camera.
Digital Camera and Photography Terms Explained
You want to buy a new digital camera but you wonder what all these abbreviations and strange terms are and what do they mean? Here are a few which I have tried to construe in a simple way.
Ae Lock. This means Auto Exposure Lock and means that you can point to your field matter, get a light reading, then swing the camera to set up the perfect picture, still retaining that setting.
Aperture. Size of the changeable chance in the lens that controls the estimate of light that passes straight through the lens to the sensor (Ccd) and which is regularly expressed as an f/number.The higher the f/number the smaller aperture, and the lower the f/number the larger the aperture. Also controls depth of field.
Aperture Priority. This is a semi-manual setting in some cameras. The user sets the aperture for the depth of field they want and the camera sets the shutter speed to gather precise exposure.
Auto Focus. Most digital cameras have an auto-focus mode which focuses the lens
Battery. Cameras come with separate types of batteries which power the camera. Each constructor tends to have their own dissimilarity on this and batteries are not regularly interchangeable between cameras.
Bracketing. Bracketing shots is where a photographer takes shots of the same scene three times or more at separate exposures. This can be done automatically on some cameras.
Card reader. Gismo that is used to associate the computer with your memory card
Ccd or expensed coupled device. This refers to the chip inside the camera which is used to record image information (on a non-digital camera this would be the film).
Light hits the Ccd when a photo is taken, and then the analog Ccd converts the information to digital.
Contrast. This is the dissimilarity between the lightest and darkest part of a photo.
Depth of Field. The length between the nearest point and farthest point, that is sharp and in focus. This varies with aperture setting. A small aperture will give greater depth of field than a large aperture.
Digital Zoom. Some cameras will provide digital zoom which assuredly means that it “zooms” into the town part of the image and enlarges the pixels. This causes ” noise” or poor resolution. Visual zoom is far superior.
Dpi Dots per inch. Printers define the sharpness of an image by Dpi. A outline of 1200 dpi, or higher is required for printing photographs.
Exposure. Exposure is a blend of how long the shutter is open and how wide the aperture is.
Exif. The exchangeable image file. This is used by cameras to record data of a shot such as date, time taken, exposure etc which can be read sometimes in the camera or in software. This is beneficial for knowing what was happening when a photograph was taken.
Exposure Control. Controlling exposure settings straight through shutter speed and aperture is important to serious photographers. Economy digital cameras will only shoot in auto mode. If you feel that you might want to take photography more seriously at some point this needs to be considered.
Focal length.Focal length describes the magnification of the lens. The greater the focal length, the greater the magnification.
F-Stop (or f/number or stop). The size of the chance in the diaphragm which allows light into the camera
Histogram.A histogram is a graph which shows image tones or a graph of brightness. Can be used to check exposure of a shot to see if you need to adjust and shoot again.
Jpeg (Joint Photographic Experts Group). A format, that that allows the camera to squeeze a large photograph into a small estimate of memory. This is the most coarse ideas used by digital cameras
Lcd Liquid Crystal Display. The majority of digital cameras have a screen at the back of the camera which can be used for viewing shots taken or sometimes as a viewfinder. A heavy user of battery power!
Macro. This is the camera mode for taking ultimate close-ups.
Manual mode. This is found on top end cameras and is used by experienced photographers as this gives full control over shutter speed and aperture.
Megapixel. This is a million pixels and can review the sensor’s capacity. Megapixels define the potential of your image. More megapixels means a better and sharper photograph or that it can be enlarged without losing quality.
Memory Card. The majority of digital cameras store pictures taken onto memory cards which can be removed and the pictures transferred to your computer. Cards are of discrete shapes and sizes but all do the same job.
Memory Stick. Memory Stick is a removable flash memory card format, launched by Sony in October 1998 and is also used in normal to review the whole family of Memory Sticks.
Optical zoom. This is a true zoom that brings you closer to the field without consuming by magnifying the image. It is preferable and excellent to digital zoom. It is recommended to get at least 3x Visual zoom.
Pictbridge. Pictbridge is a proper technology that allows the exchange of images direct from a camera to a compliant printer, bypassing the computer.
Pixels. A pixel, meaning photograph element, is the base component or construction block of a digital image and can have color and tone.
There can be some million “building blocks” in an image.
Raw .The name is to recognize the virtually raw data (has had no internal processing by the camera) image file format.
Resolution. A measure of an image expressed as photograph size or pixel (megapixel) size or dots per inch on a printed image i.e. The more pixels there are in an image the sharper the photograph will be. This is regularly shown as, for example, 1200 x 1800 which relates to height and width.
Shutter priority. This is a semi-manual mode and the opposite of aperture priority.
The photographer chooses the shutter speed and the camera sets the precise aperture for the conditions.
Useful for action shots or the need to blur shots.
Slr. Singular Lens Reflex is a camera which has a mirror that reflects the image onto a pentaprism and then on to the viewfinder screen. This means you see what the camera sees and is beneficial for framing your shots accurately.
The mirror reflexes out of the way when you take the picture.
Secure Digital (Sd) is a flash memory card format industrialized for use in conveyable devices.
Sensor or Ccd.An electronic chip, or light sensor which contains light- sensitive pixels and which records the image when you take a picture.
Shutter Speed. Speed of the shutter as it opens and close to allow light onto the sensor. It is expressed in fractions of a second i.e.1/60, 1/250
Tiff Tagged Image File Format. Tiff is an image file format that does not lose any potential when it is saved and compressed.
Tripod. If you are taking scenery or portrait photos a tripod is principal for clear, sharp photos in order to sell out camera shake and confusion of images.
Usb. Universal Serial Bus. This is a proper interface on all computers that allows accessories to be connected to the computer while it is turned on.
I hope this is useful!
